Sam Selden Award for Youth ...
Hannah Nelson and Leah McSteen
First recipients of the Sam Selden Youth Leadership Award of the Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation                   Â
The Sam Selden Youth Leadership Award is an Annual Award recently established to honor teens at Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation who have demonstrated their capabilities as young Jewish leaders, their commitment to building Jewish community, and to the value of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world.)
Each recipient will be honored and receive their award for their achievements at an annual Erev Shabbat Worship service, receiving a scholarship to support their participation in a leadership-building program in our Jewish community.
This award is a project supported by the newly established Sam Selden and Donna Dixon Memorial Fund for Jewish Youth and Community Development. Join us at 8:00p.m. on April 23rd at Erev Shabbat worship at NVHC as we celebrate these first recipients of the Sam Selden Youth Leadership Award.
We are proud of 11th Grade student Hannah Nelson and 10th Grade student Leah McSteen!
Congratulations Hannah and Leah!
