Interfaith Trialogue
Talking and Walking Paths of Faith Â
Our faiths teach us to be compassionate, to seek peace, to shelter the homeless, and to feed the hungry. Our faiths offer guidance to help us during challenging times. Jews, Christians, and Muslims work within our communities and together to walk the talk of our teachings.
We suffer not from a lack of talk. Often when misfortune strikes or trauma affects a community, voices are raised that speak with false piety and self-entitled urgency. But it is not shrill voices that impel us to do good, nor is it simply the crisis of the moment. Rather, we in the faith community seek to hear the still small voice within us, calling us to reach out in compassion to those who need our help and our healing. Speakers: â— Dean Klein, Director, Fairfax County Office to Prevent and End Homelessness
â— Father Mark Moretti, St. Thomas à Becket Catholic Church
â—Â Imam Mohamed Magid, ADAMS Center
â—Â Rizwan Jaka, Secretary, Board of the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington
