Ahh, it’s finally Friday! Come celebrate the last Friday of every month with us! We will have a family-mindful service for the entire community, followed by oneg and dinner. Wine will be provided. Registration for dinner is required.

Shabbat Sustenance– For the Body, Soul, and Mind

We will begin our Shabbat morning experience with sustenance for the body – bagels and shmear, coffee and tea.  From there, we will enter into soul-filled sustenance, that may vary some from week to week, including mindful experiences of prayer, music, meditation or yoga. The remainder of our time together with be sustenance for the mind, a time of conversation and insight. Come for the food, stay for the spirit – we hope you will join us on this nourishing Shabbat morning journey!

Torah Talk (1)

Nothing is more heartwarming than the sight of the youngest members of our community running to the Sanctuary for Shabbat! Tot Shabbat affords our children and their families the time and space to truly experience the joys of Shabbat. Songs, stories, plenty of active participation, an Ark overflowing with plush stuffed Torahs, and a child-friendly d’var Torah (lesson). What could be better?

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming; there is no dress code, and there is no shushing if your little one can’t sit still (they are free to move around!) The service is followed by a delicious child-friendly, nut free oneg!

While Tot Shabbatot (plural for Shabbat) are designed for toddlers and preschoolers, the whole family is invited to attend. Personal snacks must be nut-free and we ask that no food is eaten during the service in the sanctuary.

What’s a “punim?” In Yiddish, a face… a particularly sweet face!

Beginning in September, we’d like to invite all of our punims (ages 0-5) to join us on select Sundays! Led by Michelle Allo, this group of our sweetest faces (along with Mom and/or Dad) will gather together for a little recreation, a light nosh, some music, and a lot of “get to know you” time!
