Elul Evening of Study
There is a great Jewish tradition to dedicate the 29 days in the month of Elul to study and prepare for the coming High Holy Days. The time is supposed to challenge us to use each day as an opportunity for growth and discovery.
We can give ourselves the gift of directing time, thought and practice toward teshuvah, the turning to our best selves, and toward repentance as we end conclude one year and open to the possibilities of a new year.
On Wed. evening, September 10th, we are hosting an evening of communal Elul preparation and study together with Congregation Sha’arei Shalom. We will gather at 7:00 p.m. for some refreshments and schmoozing together, followed by 2 study periods, each one offering all three sessions, so you will have the opportunity to learn with our own Rabbi Holzman, Cantor Caro and with Rabbi Ragozin of Sha’arei Shalom. We look forward to seeing you then!
