SUMMARY:Purim Carnival
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a morning of games\, prizes\, and fun! Our Purim carnival is open to all Kehillat Limmud students ages 4-12. We’ll have games for bigger kids in the Social Hall\, with quieter and smaller games for our younger friends or students who just need a break from all the hubbub. \n  \nThe Purim Carnival is also the site for our annual Hamantashen Baking Competition! The competition is fierce and the results are always tasty. Each attendee of the carnival (and their families) can purchase a cookie for a dollar and all proceeds benefit the Forest Edge Food Packing program. Once all the cookies have been eaten\, our expert panel of judges will determine which cookie reigns supreme! \n  \nIf you’d like to sign up to test your skills and enter the contest\, click here.

SUMMARY:Israel Study Group Online
DESCRIPTION:**While NVHC’s building is closed\, this class will take place online. Please see your daily email or email info@nvhcreston.org for more information.** \nThis year our Israel Study Group will not be having the regular monthly Israel conversations as in years past\, but will instead focus on two excellent recent books. Both books bring us back to the founding ideas behind Zionism and Israel\, which we have not examined as a group for some time. This study group requires no prior experience or knowledge. \nFirst on March 8\, 2020\, we will discuss Shlomo Avineri’s Herzl’s Vision. \nSecond\, on April 19\, 2020\, we will examine Michael Brenner’s In Search of Israel: The History of an Idea. \n  \nPlease try to give the books a read prior to attendance\, but know that all are welcome even without having read the books.
