DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to welcome Rabbi Tamir Nir back to NVHC! \nRabbi Tamir Nir is the spiritual leader of Ahavat B’kerem\, a Reform congregation in Jerusalem\, and a long-time friend of NVHC. Our congregations have a close relationship – Ahavat B’kerem has hosted congregants from NVHC on trips to Israel\, and NVHC helped raise money for Ahavat B’kerem to obtain a kosher Torah scroll. Rabbi Nir is also the former deputy mayor of Jerusalem and the Director of the secular yeshiva BINA in Tel Aviv. \nWe are excited to learn from him again and hope you can join us for one or all of these opportunities! \nThursday\, June 22\, 7:30pm – Rabbi Nir will teach about important events in contemporary Israel \nFriday\, June 23\, 7:00pm – Rabbi Nir will speak as part of Shabbat services \nSaturday\, June 24\, 9:00am – Rabbi Nir will lead Shabbat Sustenance
