SUMMARY:Adult B'nai Mitzvah Class
DESCRIPTION:We are excited for a new Adult B’nai Mitzvah class! This is an opportunity for adult members of our congregation\, with a group of peers\, to engage with our millennia-old tradition and community ritual of affirming one’s place in the Jewish community. \nThere will be a Hebrew learning component as well as a content study with Cantor Caro\, Rabbi Holzman\, and Rabbi Barrett. The culmination of this journey is set for Shabbat morning\, May 23\, 2026. \nThe Adult B’nai Mitzvah Hebrew class will be divided into two sections from April through August\, to address varying levels of Hebrew. Starting in September\, we will all come together into one Hebrew class. The calendar includes the dates and times for both sections of the Adult B’nai Mitzvah Hebrew classes. \nAll classes will be in person. \n

Building on your knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet and vowels\, we will work toward greater reading fluency while expanding your ability to understand\, speak\, and write Hebrew with growing confidence. \nLessons focus on practical vocabulary\, everyday sentence patterns\, and commonly used verbs\, with plenty of opportunities to practice spoken Hebrew from the very beginning. Hebrew is taught with a modern Israeli flavor\, emphasizing real-life language and meaningful communication.  To support your learning\, the course includes fun interactive games\, along with custom-made materials created specifically for our students. These tools reinforce class content\, encourage practice between sessions\, and help make learning Hebrew both effective and enjoyable. \nThis course is ideal for learners who are past the absolute beginner stage and are ready to deepen their skills while enjoying the process.
