SUMMARY:Leader Development Program
DESCRIPTION:Leading a project\, a task force\, or a committee is different in a synagogue than it is at a traditional workplace. This program will help you develop your confidence and comfort level to take on a leadership role and/or enhance the role you are already fulfilling. \nIn-person class sessions include text study and active engagement; there is no lecture. Each session requires about an hour of individual pre-work: reading\, watching a video\, completing an assessment\, and thinking about past experiences. All materials and snacks are provided by NVHC. At the end of the program\, participants will decide what they want to be involved in at NVHC; nothing is predetermined.

SUMMARY:Shared Shabbat Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Challah. Chicken Soup. Wine. Candlelight. \nChocolate. Laughter. Light. Song. Joy. \nThese are the flavors\, sounds\, scents\, and sights of a Shabbat dinner. No Jewish ritual better captures the essence of Jewish life\, brings people together to build community\, deepens conversation\, and adds joy to life. \nOn Friday evening\, January 30th\, instead of gathering at the synagogue\, we’ll welcome Shabbat in one another’s homes. Each dinner will be hosted by an NVHC member and shared with a mix of familiar faces and new ones. Whether you’re a host or a guest\, it’s a wonderful way to deepen connections\, share good food\, and experience the joy of Shabbat together. \nLast year’s Shared Shabbat was such a beautiful success — so many of you opened your homes\, shared meals\, and told us afterward how meaningful the evening felt. We heard stories of laughter\, new friendships\, and the warmth that only Shabbat can bring. \nThere will be no Erev Shabbat service at NVHC on January 30. \nLook for more information in the NVHC weekly emails. \nIf you have any questions\, please email ShowClick Here to View Contact Information.
