This Shabbat is also our second Pulpit and the Pew\, an experiment that encourages a multi-directional relationship between the sermon from the pulpit and the congregants hearing the sermon.\n\nDuring this service\, our clergy will address climate change\, and then after the oneg\, congregants are invited to return to the sanctuary for a conversation about the sermon and climate change.\n\nWe are talking about climate change as part of an initiative by FACS (Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions) and other faith-based organizations to\, along with other clergy around the region\, address caring for the planet and climate change as part of their sermons and other learning programs this weekend. Click here to learn more about this awesome initiative.

DESCRIPTION:As Jews\, we are no strangers to the concept of immigration. Our families were all immigrants from somewhere\, facing difficult choices along the way. In today’s world\, we are hearing about various issues surrounding immigration on a daily basis. Join us on a year-long series to explore a 360° view of immigration\, helping us to gain a more nuanced understanding of the state of immigration in America today. Every month\, we will have a speaker join us to share their point of view on immigration – from attorneys and judges to those in the process of immigration\, from government employees to school counselors – each providing a unique look at immigration today. Following their presentation to our teens\, our speakers will spend an hour with our lifelong learners covering these same issues. \nThis session\, we will hear from Ali Noorani\, Executive Director of the National Immigration Forum.
