DESCRIPTION:Build your ability to read and translate Torah and other Biblical texts.  Focus will be on recognizing key grammatical constructs and vocabulary. We will learn the pi’el (intensive) \, hif’il (causative)\, nif’al (passive)\, and hitpa’el (reflexive) verb forms. \nPrerequisite: Familiarity with Hebrew vocabulary and grammar\, recognition of pa’al (basic) verb forms. \nWednesdays\, 5:00 – 6:00pm \nDates: September 30 – January 27 (15 sessions: no class 11/25\, 12/23\, 12/30) \nIn person at NVHC \nText: The First Hebrew Primer (3rd edition)\, chapters 23-30 \nTaught by Elizabeth Lacher \nCost: $200/members\, $250/non-members \nPrerequisite:  Ability to read Hebrew phonetically
