Roy Austin was Deputy Assistant Attorney General of the US Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. In 2014, Mr. Austin joined the White House Domestic Policy Council where he co-authored “Big Data and Civil Rights,” worked with the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing, and was a member of President Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Task Force. Mr. Austin is a member of the Advisory Board of the Institute for Innovation in Prosecution and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
