Middlescence

noun

The period in a person’s life between the ages of about 40 and 60; the middle-age period of life, especially when considered a difficult time of self-doubt and readjustment.

Many of us have reached this stage in life when our kids have left home in search of their own independence or remain at home, eating our groceries, while still out and about making their own lives. After years of catering to the offspring, it’s our turn to find our own rhythm with fun, exploration, and socializing.

Let’s do it as a team! Wineries, breweries, hikes, dinners, coffees, game playing, theater – the sky’s the limit because we don’t have to be home for the babysitter.

We are envisioning an outing every quarter or so, where we can engage and play like the old folks that we are not!

Everyone is welcome; no need to stay within specific age parameters. If you have kids, don’t have kids, kids are adults or adult kids want to come with their adult parents, the more the merrier.

Upcoming Events:

Saturday, April 6, 6:00pm

Our next Middlescence event will be a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres party before the theatrical performance of “Shards,” which will be playing at the temple that evening at 8:00pm.

Our group will gather in the multipurpose room at 6:00pm to eat, drink, and shmooze. The party will then move on over to the show, for all who are interested.

Please bring an hors d’oeuvre to share and beverage of your choice.
