This year our Israel Study Group will not be having the regular monthly Israel conversations as in years past, but will instead focus on two excellent recent books. Both books bring us back to the founding ideas behind Zionism and Israel, which we have not examined as a group for some time. This study group requires no prior experience or knowledge.

First on March 8, 2020, we will discuss Shlomo Avineri’s Herzl’s Vision.

Second, on April 19, 2020, we will examine Michael Brenner’s In Search of Israel: The History of an Idea.

Please try to give the books a read prior to attendance, but know that all are welcome even without having read the books.
