Celebrate Mimouna: Dialogue, Heritage, and Sweetness
Celebrate Mimouna: Dialogue, Heritage, and Sweetness
Mimouna is a traditional Moroccan Jewish celebration marking the end of Passover and the return to leavened foods. Rooted in coexistence, Muslim neighbors would bring flour and dairy to their Jewish friends, turning a moment of transition into one of connection and generosity.
Join us on Sunday, April 12 at 2:00 p.m. for a joyful celebration of Mimouna as well as an afternoon of learning and conversation with Reda Ayadi from the Mimouna Association. Reda has spent over 15 years educating Moroccan youth about Morocco’s Jewish heritage. We will be joined by members of the ADAMS center, so that together, we can explore our shared histories, engage in meaningful dialogue, and honor our diversity.
