Emily Hummel

Emily joined NVHC in July, 2017 and worked here in many capacities – Education Administrative Assistant, Pre-K teacher’s aide, Communications Coordinator, Assistant Director of Congregational Learning – before becoming the Interim Director of Congregational Learning in 2026. She holds a master’s degree in Religion from Temple University and bachelor’s degrees in History and Religion from the University of Mary Washington.

She lives in Sterling with her best friend and two rambunctious kittens. Outside of NVHC, her passions in life include tabletop games, exploring the outdoors, and any craft that involves needle and thread.
